"A good rider can hear his horse speak to him. A great rider can hear his horse whisper." ~ Anonymous
Anderson Quarter Horses ceased its breeding, boarding, training, and sales operations on June 30, 2014. The AQH Foundation broodmare Bull N Magic, dam of 13 foals, was euthanized due to complications of severe arthritis, and Doc Bar Maid followed soon after due to Cushing's Disease. Most recently, in 2017, we lost Estrellita de Magica due to a bone fracture of her humerus, and Magics Coosa Nicki on May 29, 2020 after being diagnosed with a tumor, which was shutting off her airway near her esophagus. We relocated from our original homestead in the Southern Tier of New York State to Nash County, North Carolina, in 2014 and continue to care for our stallion, Mr Magic Zip, our remaining mares and ponies. Susan E. Anderson and Jerry B. Anderson, owners and proprietors of Anderson Quarter Horses at Hidden Acres Farm in Spring Hope, North Carolina, have recently retired from the horse business. But, they still talk horses! Give us a shout or an email. We'd love to hear from you!
